Experience: I was editor-in-chief of my college newspaper at California University of Pennsylvania, and graduated with honors in 2003. I interned with the Tribune-Review Fay-West, Connellsville, and the Herald Standard, Uniontown. I wrote for the Herald part-time before coming to the Altoona Mirror. I also served a year as an AmeriCorps VISTA.

Personal: I am a newlywed who loves to watch TV, read, cook and eat. I am a bit of a nomad and have moved 28 times in my life. I’ve lived in five different states, and would love to visit Europe one day.

annual meeting and awards luncheon

The Pennsylvania Women’s Press Association general membership meeting is scheduled to take place during this year’s Pennsylvania Press Conference at the Penn Stater hotel and conference center in State College.

The membership meeting will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 21. Our annual awards luncheon will immediately follow at noon. Cate Barron, executive editor of The Patriot-News in Harrisburg, will be the guest speaker during the luncheon.
